Introduction to AI concepts and terminology, overview of the AI regulatory landscape, and a comprehensive review of all ISO/IEC 42001:2023 clause requirements including the AIMS framework and Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle for AI governance.

AI Risk & Impact Assessment

Understanding AI-specific risks including bias, fairness, transparency, explainability, and accountability. Auditing AI risk assessment methodologies, AI impact assessments, and risk treatment plans.

Annex A Controls & AI System Lifecycle

In-depth review of the 38 Annex A controls covering AI policies, AI system lifecycle, data management, third-party oversight, and responsible AI practices. Understanding the Statement of Applicability for AIMS.

Audit Planning & Conducting the Audit

Developing AIMS audit programmes, preparing process-based checklists for AI governance, conducting opening meetings, gathering evidence of AI controls and risk treatment, applying interview techniques, and managing audit team activities.

Reporting, Closing & Follow-Up

Writing and grading nonconformity reports specific to AIMS, preparing audit conclusions and recommendations, conducting closing meetings, managing corrective actions, and understanding the certification decision process.

Assessment & Certification

Examination & Continuous Assessment

To successfully complete this course, participants are required to pass both a written examination and continuous assessment. The continuous assessment evaluates practical competence through exercises, case studies, and role-play audit scenarios conducted throughout the programme.

Certificate of Achievement

Delegates successfully completing the course, including examination, will be awarded a CQI and IRCA certified training certificate. This certificate is valid for 5 years and satisfies the formal training requirement for individuals seeking certification as a CQI/IRCA Auditor or Lead Auditor.
